The CAB and the Apel School will conclude a collaboration protocol. The signing of the agreement, which will take place on Tuesday, 3 February, at 12 noon, at the School of Apel, cements the bet of Friends of the Basketball on the importance of academic training of their collaborators, partners and athletes, enabling a number of advantages, both for the club and for the school. More specifically, the employees, partners and athletes of the CAB to enjoy a preferential status in access to teaching taught at the School of Apel. In addition, they can benefit from a 10% discount on the price charged by Apel on the tuition of the secondary, the holiday camps and the tuition fees of the advanced training courses. In exchange, the CAB undertakes to receive trainee students from courses taught at Apel, will host promotion actions from the Apel School in its facilities and will make free tickets available to the school for all games at home from its senior teams. In addition, the club will promote courses and training taught by Apel on its social networks. In statements to the CAB Official Site, Francisco Gomes, president of the club, expressed his happiness at the signing of the protocol, noting that the same "It is a step forward in affirming our conviction that studies and sports practice are not incompatible. On the contrary, it is unthinkable that any child or young person should consider their future as an isolated bet on a sports career, because this is not a realistic way to view life." The president of Friends also added, "As a former student of the Apel School, I feel a special joy for this protocol, because it is the establishment of a bond with an institution that I respect very much and whose contribution to the formation of countless generations of young Madeirans speaks for themselves."
