It's not yet how our women's team knew the taste of victory in this issue of the Women's League. Playing in front of their audience, friends performed an exhibition that, in spaces, was very positive. However, in the end, visitors led to the best by 68-71. The game began best for the CAB team, which won the first period by the 28-20 result. This advantage was mainly the result of a consistent defense by João Pedro Vieira and also of a very organized work in the situations of the attack, knowing how to explore the gaps in the defense of Lombos. In the second period, the situation reversed, with Lombos imposing his game on Friends and almost completely mastering operations within the field. In the attack and defense, those commanded by Zé Leite marked their presence well, gaining more weight, defending better and scoring more than the CAB players. The period was won by the visitors by the result of 11-22. Therefore, the result of the interval was 39-42, favorable to Lumbos. At the start of the match, the Friends again showed their determination to dominate the game and dictate the rhythm of events. Showing great unity and team spirit, the CAB proved to be a formation that, despite being still in construction, is able to ombre with any League team. Lombos won the period again, this time by the result of 12-15, but balance was the dominant note. The third period ended with the marker in 51-57, with everything open for both teams. In the fourth and decisive period, the Madeiran athletes filled the pavilion with emotion and good basketball, which was paid back by Quinta dos Lombos. The people at the pavilion attended a good basketball show. However, Lombos, in decisive moments, knew how to make better choices and play with greater discernment. There is, therefore, merit of the visitors to win by the 68-71 result. The CAB still worked - and a lot - to make the outcome different, but today, it's back to being friends' day. Despite the result, the pride and confidence that the entire club has in these athletes, which prove to grow every day, the result of their delivery and work, are not shaken. We know that sooner or later, the 'our' sun will also shine, and it is our duty to continue to believe and support this group of players who deserve all our affection. In individual terms: Cíntia França (2 points), Carla Relva (1 rebound), Ana Jardim, Monica Luis, Marta Bravo (10 points, 2 steals), Maria João (6 points), Christian Shelter (9 points, 3 points), Catarina Freitas (9 points), Justina Udenze (19 points, 15 points, MVP of the match), Carolina Escorcio (13 points, 9 points).
