On the second day of the Women's League Finals, the CAB measured forces with the formation of Vagos, who on the eve had won the Olivais team. Already the day before, the friends had slipped against GDESSA. However, before the CAB came into play, Olivais won the GDESSA, a result that 'mixed the accounts' and that allowed the CAB to enter the race again for the title if it won the Vagos. In the game of everything or nothing (for reasons explained before), the CAB entered very strongly. Proof of this is the fact that, in the first three minutes of the meeting, the Amigas carried out a partial of 10–0, forcing Vagos to ask for a time discount to stop the great start of the Madeirans. The reaction of the Vagos players did not appear immediately. In fact, the continentals only scored their first two points from the free throw line when they had three minutes to complete the partial, placing the marker on 19-2, numbers that expressed the ability to mark the CAB, but also its defensive effectiveness. Until the end of the first half, the offensive and defensive cohesion of the CAB continued to be superior, which allowed the team of João Freitas to finish the first time in leadership by 21-12. In the second half, the CAB did not enter as well as in the first half. On the contrary, the Vagos was superior, reducing to 24-18 the disadvantage compared to the Madeirans when the chronometer scored five minutes played. This less achieved phase of the Madeira team led João Freitas to ask for a time discount to help their players regain competitiveness and trust. Soon after the time-out, Vagos reduced CAB (24-20) to four, a situation that made CAB fans fear for the worst. However, the Madeira team regained serenity and again put into play their style. However, when there were still three minutes to play and the result was in 27-22, the CAB player, Rosinha Rosario, came out limping, an injury that caused some concern in the Friends' bank. But even in the face of adversity, the friends knew how to unite and give a strong response. Marking important points and defending cohesively, the CAB imposed a point difference of thirteen points to Vagos (35-22), numbers with which it reached the interval. At this stage of the meeting, Maria Blazejewski and Chelsie Schweers were the main writers of the Friends, accounting for eleven points each. In Vagos, the most unconformed was Domingues, who took eight points noted in his personal account. In the third period, the game began with several failed releases in the two teams. In fact, the basketball show was not as good at starting the game as in other stages. After this phase, Vagos tried to press the CAB to reduce the disadvantage. To this end, the continentals appealed to their inner game, and with three minutes played, the scorer was 40-28, still in favor of the CAB. At the time that followed, the balance was the dominant note, and neither the CAB could extend its advantage, nor the Vagos could get as close as it wanted. In the second phase of the third period, the emphasis was on the fact that both teams made good use of their launch capacity. Moreover, it was from the line of three points that Vagos and CAB marked the most decisive points of the partial, which ended with the CAB still leading it by twelve points (55-43). In the last time, the CAB re-started, and despite the great pressure of the Vagos, the Friends were not intimidated, placing the marker in 61-45. In fact, the highlight of this phase of the game was the defense of the CAB, which did not let the Vagos ‘breathe’ and allowed the Friends to maintain their dominance in the game. In the minutes that followed, Vagos continued to press the CAB very hard, but the Amigas made the cohesion of their defence very worthwhile, which was being fundamental. Also for this reason, with four minutes disputed, the CAB maintained its advantage in the fourteen points (62-48), but it required maximum concentration to avoid disagreements. The advantage of the CAB and the result on the marker remained in the following two minutes, a factor caused by failed releases by the two teams. However, the ability of the friends to resuscitate has enabled them to compensate for the failed baskets and not to let Vagos enjoy second or third opportunities for implementation. The last four minutes of the meeting saw Vagos reduce the disadvantage to the ten points (62-53), when there were only two and a half minutes to play. To bring the continentals closer together, it also contributed to the tiredness that was already being felt by the CAB, which was holding a very intense and large delivery match. Until the end of the meeting, the CAB resisted the attacks of Vagos and did not in any way lose serenity and dominance over the game. The basis for the cohesion of the Friends was in the defense and in the emphasis, which gave the CAB the solidity it needed to win the meeting, with justice and all merit, by 68-57. In individual terms, highlight, in the CAB team, Maria Blazejewski's 21 points and Chelsie Schwwers' 18 points, as well as Ines Ajanovic's 13 points. At Vagos, Riddle and Domingues scored 17 points each. The victory of the CAB (and that of the Olivais, in the previous game), puts all teams practically on a ‘foot’ of equality. In fact, this Final Stage mirrors the balance felt in the Women's League throughout the season, perhaps one of the most balanced times ever. However, the CAB continues to have a good chance of winning the title, which is (more) a reason to look at tomorrow's game with all determination and confidence.
