The women's CAB team was surpassed by GDESSA's formation in the first game of the Women's League finals. Still, nothing is lost, because the current competition model makes it very difficult to have early winners. The game didn't start in the best way for the CAB team. In fact, the Friends have accused some nervousness, which has been reflected in a low implementation of the basket launches. This was meritoriously taken advantage of by the GDESSA team, which, ‘loaded’ by its base, won the first partial by 12-20. The second half was different, with the CAB taking on greater role. The greatest success with the basket revealed by the Madeirans, especially in the chapter of the launch of the three points, a ‘weapon’ that proved to be fundamental to the Friends at this stage of the meeting. After winning the partial by 24-13, teams picked up the locker room with the CAB in the lead by 36-33. In the third half, the balance was the dominant note of the meeting, with the teams to tie the partial by 15-15 (51-48, in total). Despite the exemplary delivery of the Madeirans, who made an enormous effort to ‘shoot’ the result and to protect, with great delivery, the basket at their guard, the GDESSA did not give up either, and despite the intensity of the Madeirans, managed to keep in the race and postpone the decisions for the last ten minutes. In the final partial, the GDESSA showed some ascendant, to which contributed some fatigue accused by the CAB, which was holding a match of great offensive and defensive delivery. Of course, the Friends have accused, in a way, all this physical effort and delivery, which has defined their way of being in the field throughout the time. About a minute from the end of the game, the continentals gained a three-point advantage and the CAB, although very combative, was unable to score. The Madeirans struggled a lot, but the ball 'took' not to enter, a factor that only benefited the opponents, who, with much sadness of all CAB fans, won the game by 68-77. Tomorrow, the Friends face the Vagos, who was also defeated by the formation of Vagos with a basket in the last second of the game.
