The women's CAB team received the formation of Vagos, in a game that was the re-issue of the Federation Cup final, won by Madeirans last weekend. Today's game was radically different from that played a week ago, as the two teams already knew each other better than when they measured strength for the first time and also had some more rotation and competitive level. Soon, in the match, the players already knew that they were facing divergent realities. The game began with the two teams accusing some nervousness in the management of ball possessions. Proof of this is the fact that the score remained relatively low until the second half of the first half. From then on, the CAB, which had been performing a good defensive performance, began to reveal also greater success in the releases and reached the end of the first ten minutes of play to win by 14-5. In the second half, the CAB maintained its good defensive performance, and during almost six minutes of play, Vagos was unable to score any points. In the attack, the Friends did not take advantage of all the opportunities they were able to create with their good ball rotation. Even so, superiority before Vagos accentuated and the Madeirans gathered to the locker room to lead by 23-11. At this stage of the meeting, Filipa Bernardeco was the best marker by the CAB, with 9 points. In Vagos, the right one was Canastra, with 5 points. After the break, the CAB returned to superiority and performed a third period of high quality. From the good defensive pressure that the Madeirans continued to carry out attacks that allowed the house to build an interesting advantage on the marker. So, without much surprise, the end of the third half came with the places to win by 42-21, a result that mirrored, fairly, the gap between the teams until that moment. In the fourth and final period, the CAB may have accused some physical wear and tear. These factors were, with merit, exploited by Vagos training to reduce the advantage built by the CAB. Visitors even threatened the domain of the house, but at the end the victory smiled at the CAB for 46-42. In individual terms: Cynthia France (2), Rosinha Rosario (4), Filipa Bernardeco (12), Vitória Pacheco (6), Marquelle Dent (5), Ines Ajanovic (8), Catarina Miranda (3), Simona Podesvova (6).
