It wasn't the best debut for the CAB Women's Team. Playing in Lousada's difficult pavilion, the ones guided by João Pedro Vieira lost before the house team for the result of 65-63. The bitterness of defeat was aggravated by the fact that it resulted from a triple score by the opponents in the last second of play. The match did not start well for the CAB, who entered the match with the players to appear some tiredness and lack of concentration, perhaps the result of the early journey and the very short rest period before the game. As a result, Lousada took over the match and reached the end of the first ten minutes to win by 16-14. In the second period, the Friends outlined a reaction, which allowed them to reach the interval to win by 29-30. The third period was once again favourable to the Friends, who managed to extend the advantage of a point they already had at the interval. The Friends reached the end of the third quarter to win by 45-49 and revealed great ambition to leave Lousada with victory. However, the last period of the meeting was not favorable for CAB athletes. In defense, essentially, the team made many failures, and in the attack, the Madeiran formation revealed great inconsistency, alternating moments of tactical solidity with more confused and disorganized moves. Certainly, the young and underprivileged CAB team, who performed without the Maria João base, a great reference to the team's game, did not do the work that I would have liked to have done. Today's defeat does not shake the confidence that the whole club has in these athletes and their great and talented coaches. We all know that the road is ahead and that tomorrow is a new day, with a new challenge, this time against Vagos. We trust that today's mistakes will be the lessons that 'our girls' will be able to reap and amend so that they can complete the double journey with a precious victory. We're with you! Let's go! In individual terms: Cintia France, Ana Jardim (2 points), Monica Luis (1 point), Marta Bravo (2 points), Christian Shelter (12 points), Catarina Freitas (16 points), Justina Udenze (2 points), Carolina Escorcio (8 points) and Carla Relva.
