CAB and Olivais faced each other at the CAB Pavilion in a match for the tenth Women's League. Despite the current classification difference between the two teams (disadvantaged to the Madeirans), the two formations approached the team with a great sense of responsibility, as the victory would bring the team to win precious points in the classification table. The start of the game was very poor for both teams. Both on the side of the house and on the side of the visitors, the pace of play was slow and in no way dignified the modality. In the defense, the failures occurred, and in the attack, disorganization and mismatch were noted. Even so, the CAB has been better, exploring its offensive weapons, particularly the excellent moment in shape of the athlete Maria João. The first period ended with the result in 23-21, favorable to the CAB. In the second period, coach João Pedro bet on a five hundred Madeirans to give more speed and cohesion to the game. The bets were set and matched. The CAB revealed more aggressiveness and more unity, especially in the attack, where Maria João remained unstoppable and read all the pages of her immense offensive repertoire. Olivais didn't know how to stop our Maria, and, at halftime, the Madeiran already scored 23 points, 3 strikes and 2 robberies. On the other hand, in defense, the CAB continued to fail too much in markings and to commit too many fouls. Proof of this was the fact that Justina Udenze soon contracted three fouls, which, in addition to her low productivity in the attack, confirmed the less positive afternoon of the American, who seemed to have 'forgotten' that today was game day. The aggressiveness and delivery of the other players in the house were, for the time being, closing the lack of foreign help. The interval arrived with the marker in 39-34, in favor of the locations. The return of the interval was much better for the formation of Coimbra. While the CAB continued aimlessly in the attack and defense cohesion, visitors were able to impose their style of play, alternating the inside and outer options of the attack. In addition, in the chapter of the caveats, Olivais was always more dominant, making use of several options of second releases. Faced with an apathetic CAB, Olivais won the period by 15-20 and reached the end of the third period to win by 49-50. In the fourth and final period a reaction from the Friends was required. But unfortunately, that reaction never came. In the attack, mistakes were made that are not characteristic of Madeirans, and in defense, cohesion was lacking. The CAB was a disorganized team, failing too much and being excessively permissive. Olivais, on the other hand, without playing a big game, dominated the fundamental chapters, namely the points (46 gains against 33 of the CAB), the three points (44% against 33% of the CAB) and the two points (48% against 28% of the CAB). The game ended with the result in 64-70, in favor of visitors. In individual terms: Cintia France (3), Carla Relva, Ana Jardim, Monica Luis, Marta Bravo (8), Maria João (32), Christian Shelter (7), Catarina Freitas (3), Justina Udenze (3) and Carolina Escorcio (8).
