The women's CAB team went to Vagos to play the second game of a double journey that began the day before, with a victory against Olivais. Vagos is a team that, over the years, has always caused many difficulties to friends, so a very balanced game was anticipated. The match began better for the CAB, which entered with a very aggressive attack and a pressing defense. Friends have been able to intelligently explore the various attack options and have created a lot of headaches from the house, who did not know which player to stop. In defense, the CAB attack also limited the options of the house. Three consecutive Vagos baskets in the last two minutes of the first half still made a CAB shake a little, but still the Madeirans finished the first ten minutes to lead by 11-17. At this stage of the meeting, Ashley Bruner with 8 points and Joana Lopes with 3 points, 4 highlights and 3 assists were the most active on the CAB side. In the second half, the CAB returned with a very strong and determined stance to create problems for opposing training. The Madeirans made their presence felt, especially in the inner game, dominating the opponents in the chapter of the caveats and marking points in the areas near the basket, as well as in the quick exits in counterattack. The Vagos responded with outside releases and invoking the inner game of his American, who was the most unconformed in the house. Still, the break came with the CAB ahead for 23-34. In Madeirans, the scoring was equally distributed by several players, including Ashley Bruner (11), Carla Freitas (7), Carolina Escorcio (5) and Kristen Mann (6). In Vagos, the most effective were Hoskins (8) and Pinto (5). On the return of the locker rooms, the CAB again demonstrated a capacity to explore its offensive options, clearly benefiting from having several players able to score points. In resuming the game, it was Ashley Bruner who showed the most, with her usual combativity in her near the basket. Joana Lopes, however, assumed a fundamental role in the highlights, assistance and organization of all the mechanics of the CAB, operating a true ‘motor’ of the game of friends. Carla Freitas, clearly growing in form, also conferred creativity, speed and ‘artistic note’ to the Madeiran team. In short, the team demonstrated a great defensive attitude, which limited Vagos to 7 points throughout the period. On the contrary, the CAB recorded 24 points, leading the marker to expand to 30-58, in favor of the CAB. In the last period, the defense returned to be the CAB's main weapon. The cohesion and determination that the Medeirans revealed in the defensive midfield forced Vagos to make mistakes that they normally do not make and to make several releases in conditions of discomfort. From a strong defense, the CAB structured the attack, exploring with patience and rigor the best launch options. Unsurprisingly, the potential advantage that the CAB had at the end of the third period increased, with Vagos having neither arguments nor energy to cancel the accumulated loss. It is impossible not to highlight the great team spirit of the Friends, as well as the great delivery they showed in the chapter of the caveats. Good indications of this are the fact that all Friends have scored points, as well as the statistical figures showing that collectively the CAB has recorded 30 assistance and 45 points. These values, or others that could be pointed out here, reveal well the enormous group spirit that unites the CAB team, something that deserves to be highlighted. The end of the game came with the scorer in 48-77, in favor of the CAB. In individual terms: Joana Lopes (6 points, 12 points, 9 assists), Carla Freitas (9 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists), Carolina Escorcio (7 points, 1 raise), Marta Bravo (4 points, 4 points, 3 assists), Ashley Bruner (23 points, 11 points, 9 assists), Kristen Mann (13 points, 7 points, 8 assists), Lavinia Silva (8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists), Catarina Freitas (3 points, 3 assists), Carla Relva (4 points, 1 assistance).
