The CAB women's team faced Benfica's training in Lisbon. For the CAB, the game in the Light was only the first of a double journey that only ends on Sunday, when the Madeirans face the formation of Lombos, in Carcavelos. The game started well for João Pedro Vieira's team. Friends entered the game with an aggressive and pressing posture, and this made themselves felt, especially in the fight for the tables. For example, by the end of the first period, the CAB had already won 13 points, against only 6 of the Lisbons. Joining this great inner presence, the CAB was with Aleighsa Welch, Britany Miller and Ejay Ofomata in great shape, with this trio to note, in the first ten minutes, a total of 19 points, of the 25 noted by the Friends. On the Benfica side, only 13 points had been scored in the first ten minutes, so the result at the end of the first half was 13-25. In the second period, the provision of the CAB was lower, which was used by the house. The Madeirans were more inconstant in the selection of the launch, and, in defense, more perdularian. The players of the house enjoyed the lesser performance of the islanders to score points that they had not achieved in the initial period, but nevertheless collected the interval to lose by 34-41. On the return to the game, the CAB remained hesitant in its approach to meeting. If it was true that friends were the strongest formation within the field, not only in terms of defensive aggressiveness, but also in terms of presence in offensive tasks, it is no less true that Madeirans were having difficulty converting this superiority into points. On the other hand, Benfica, much less organized than the CAB, was managing to 'wrap' the friends in their impulsive and hasty approach to the game, and forcing the islanders to commit unnecessary ball losses with their particular way of being inside the field. Still, the third half ended with the CAB ahead for 56-62. In the last period, Benfica tried to presonate the CAB in every way and in every way. In fact, we lived in the Pavilion of Light moments of great intensity, affecting the performance of all participants in the match and even yielding a technical lack for the bank of the house. To the pressures and impulses of the house team the CAB responded with a lot of pragmatism, cold head, ability to discern and commitment to offensive and defensive tasks. Thanks to its collective effort, the CAB gained control over the pace of the meeting, a key piece in this match. Winning this, the CAB halted the advances of the home team and imposed its serenity and game model. By well altering the inner game with the exterior and effectively using their strengths, the Friends remained, imperturbable, in front and reached the end of the game with the victory secured by 74-80. In all, the CAB took advantage of 56% in field launches (against 47% of Benfica). In the caveats, the CAB conquered 37 while the house had only 26. In assists, the CAB marked 12, joining seven ball robberies. In individual terms: Joana Lopes (6), Aleighsa Welch (18), Cintia Franca (4), Britany Miller (17), Sara Barreira (3), Carolina Escorcio (5), Ejay Ofomata (18), Ana Cunha (7), Leonor Nunes (2).
