The women's CAB team received Ovarense's training in a match to count for the Portuguese Cup. The Amigas came from a victory outside the doors against Lousada's formation and wanted to continue the good time, surpassing another phase in the Cup competition. The northerners came to Madeira to surprise the friends and had no intention of selling cheap defeat. The CAB won the first period by 17-15, however the dominant score of the game at this stage was balance, with the two teams showing great dependence on the outside game and with little use in the releases in the areas closest to the basket. In the second half, the CAB was again superior (12-7), but the two teams, once again, had low levels of use in the launches (31% use for the sites and 25% for visitors). Even so, the best defensive posture of Madeirans (8 ball robberies performed at the interval) allowed them to reach the interval in front by 29-22. On the return of the locker rooms, the CAB had its most productive phase of the meeting, scoring 27 points against only 18 of the opponents. Friends also maintained their defensive aggressiveness, forcing rivals to work hard for each of their points. So, no surprise, after half an hour of play, the CAB was leading 56-40. In the last time, the CAB managed the advantage, but never failed to engage. The Friends again won the partial (19-14), extending even the advantage they already had from the previous period and won the game by 75-54.
