The men's team received Barcelos, a team that strengthened well during the summer and practiced a quality basketball. The game did not start well for the Madeirans, who lost their first period by 8-20, a result that denoted some defensive fragility on the part of the Friends. In the second half, the defensive posture of the CAB, which had been the major problem of the first half, improved, with the team causing 6 losses of ball in the opponent. In the attack, the CAB was also superior to visitors, however the interval came with those of the house still at a disadvantage, but by 24-31. The break in the game did well to those in the house, who had a very positive third period, both in the defense level and in the attack chapter. Proof of this is that the CAB won the partial by 19-13 and reached the door of the fourth time to lose by the minimum margin (43-44), giving strong indications that it could win the game. With 4 minutes elapsed in the fourth period, the CAB moved ahead of the marker. However, the punctual advantage of the CAB was 'low-hard sun', as visitors, especially through the external launch, again gained the advantage in the marker, which they dilated in the following minutes. Despite the efforts of the house, Barcelos did not let the CAB dominate the meeting again and won the match by 56-68. In individual terms: Jovoni Shuler (22), Diogo Ventura (3), Fabio Lima (13), Jorge Coelho (3), Anthony Hill (13), Bruno Cavalcante (2).
