The men's team at the CAB received Maia's training in a match counting for the Men's League's pre-penultimate journey. The game was of great importance to the two sets, not only because of the influence it could have on the Regular Phase rating, but also because of the influence it could have on the position of each of the two teams in the elimination playoff, which will be played after the Regular Phase. Both teams would know they couldn't lose, so the game was high-pressure for both formations. I'd win the one who presented better basketball and better control the underlying emotions of the encounter. The game started better for the home team. With 5 minutes of play, the CAB led by only one point (8-7), however, as time progressed, the teams imposed a stronger pace at the start, which resulted in a greater score of points from part to part. The CAB was not intimidated by the speed of visitors and ended the first time to win by 23-20. In the second half, the CAB domain in the match was more significant and to prove it is the partial of 12-0 made by the house at the start of the second period. Maia responded with a partial of 0-5, giving a clear indication that he was in Madeira to discuss the meeting. However, the greater versatility of the Madeirans and their greater execution capacity (44% of use of the interval, compared to only 40% of the Maya) allowed the CAB to reach the interval ahead by 46-32. At this stage of the meeting, Jovoni Shuler (14), Stefan Popovski (12) and Fabio Lima (10) were the best annotators for the CAB. In the continentals, Paul Diamantino (10) was the most unconformed. On the return of the locker rooms, the CAB was less well than it had been so far. Friends actually lost the partial by 15-18, accusing too many flaws in the level of defense, as well as some permissiveness in the statements. The Maia explored with merit the weaknesses evidenced by the Madeirans, but at the end of the period, the CAB continued ahead by 61-50. In the fourth half, Maia went all the way to get ahead of the marker, trying to take advantage of the fatigue and the lesser offensive hit of the CAB. However, with great spirit of sacrifice, especially in the second half of the fourth quarter, the CAB defended its advantage and won the game by 80-76. In individual terms: Jovoni Shuler (25), Diogo Ventura (12), George Blakeney (6), Fabio Lima (18), Jorge Coelho (7), Stefan Popovski (12).
