On Wednesday, October 28th, in the morning, the senior male staff of the CAB will visit the Escola Básica de Santo António. The initiative is part of the work of proximity that the club of Nazaré has been developing over the years and which aims essentially to promote basketball, the club and the importance of having healthy habits with the younger layers of the population. As part of the initiative, CAB professionals will interact with the students of the institution in an informal climate, and will subsequently participate in various activities in the field aimed at demonstrating the dinanism and the joy of the basketball game. They will be moments of great fun, as the CAB's visits to schools are impending. In statements to the CAB Official Site, João Paulo Silva, CAB coach, highlighted the importance of this type of initiative, observing: "We will begin a new cycle of visits to the local schools. This initiative aims to promote the modality, athletes and particularly the dynamics of the CAB, in the sense that we are increasingly a quality option for young people who want to practice this modality." According to the leader of the male team, "We want to disseminate the work that this club has been doing at regional and national level and nothing better than starting with schools, where we find the essential elements for the continuity of work with the training requirements that the CAB maintains." João Paulo Silva also highlighted the sense of responsibility with which the club has addressed these visits to regional educational institutions, noting, "Parallelly to our work in the preparation of the professional team for competition, we are aware of the responsibilities at the level of promoting the name of the CAB. Therefore, we will be present at the Escola Básica do 2o e 3o Ciclos de Santo António, on Wednesday between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 p.m., demonstrating some of the basketball techniques and thus contributing to the students visiting and supporting us during the games and joining this huge family of athletes."
