The men's team of the CAB received the training of the tram in a game in which the Madeirans presented themselves very limited, a result of which of injuries affecting four of their players, namely Bruno Cavalcante, Carlos Bettencourt, Michael L'Africain and Diogo Gameiro, all of them with uncertain date of return to the fields. Even so, the CAB entered the match better and won the first period by 30-25, numbers that well express the ability of the sites to make use of the versatility of the attack. In the second half, the tram was better and won the partial by 16-17. The CAB, in turn, accused some physical wear, perhaps due to the less turnover of its squad at this time, and made some defensive mistakes that it normally does not make. In the attack, the second half was also of less inspiration to the Friends, however, a good final line, which included a basket to finish the time of Fábio Lima – which was then discounted to the result of Friends in the resumption of the third half – allowed the CAB to leave for the interval ahead by 44-42. On the return of the locker rooms, the CAB was again superior and won the partial by 24-18. The CAB team dominated the main aspects of the game, but the opponent was in the field with determination and conviction that he would play the game to the end. In the fourth period, the tram managed to take advantage of the CAB's downturn and won the partial by 18-27. With a very limited squad and some players accusing a deep physical fatigue, the CAB fought heroically, but the effort of the Friends did not prevent the release by 86-87. In conclusion, a note to the fact that the CAB protested the game on the basis of the conviction that during the meeting a technical error was made that damaged the team of the house. The decision on the same will fall on the Portuguese Basketball Federation, which will assess the consistency of the appeal presented by Madeirans.
