The male CAB team received the formation of Ovarense in what was the first game of a double journey that only ends tomorrow, when Friends receive the formation of the Electric. Today's departure was particularly difficult for Madeirans, not only because they could not count on Fábio Lima (to recover from a serious ankle injury), but also because they had the team that was fighting, with the CAB, for the leadership of the Group 'B'. Therefore, only the best CAB could lead to the defeat of the formation of Ovar. The game began best for the visiting team, which, in the first few minutes, quickly won a partial of 0-9. The CAB's reaction was swift, balancing events and restoring competitiveness in the game. At the end of the first ten minutes, the result was 25-27, still in favor of Ovarense, but with the CAB giving a good replica. In the second half, there was a good basketball show, in which there were no shortage of sinks, triples and all the ‘magic’ basketball has to offer. For the happiness of CAB fans, Friends were superior, especially in the chapter of the caveats (21 gains from the interval, against 11 from Ovarense) and the percentage of achievement (61% from the interval, against 47% from Ovarense), which allowed them to collect at the interval to lead by 45-43. In the third half, the CAB was considerably below the good level it had exhibited, especially in the second half. In fact, the CAB lost the partial by 16-27 and reached the end of the half-hour game to lose by 61-70. In the last time, the CAB was better, but still again lost the partial (15-16). No doubt the Friends were very combative and believed until the end. However, Ovarense also had a lot of merit in the way it explored its strengths, especially the external launch, which was lethal at decisive moments. In fairness, Ovarense won the meeting by 76-86, however the CAB maintains the leadership of the Group ‘B’, because it has the advantage in direct confrontation with the northern class.
