The CAB Men's Team went to the Azores to face the Lusitania team. The two formations are in a lit fight for a place of access to the Men's League playoffs, so the game had an important weight for these championship accounts. The game began best for the Madeirans, who won the first period for 15-26. The superiority demonstrated by the Friends sat, essentially, on the strength of their collective, which demonstrated good ability to be on the ball, as well as greater concentration at the time of the launch. In the second time, the CAB’s defence was not so well, a factor that allowed local points that had not existed in the first half. Even so, the CAB managed to withstand the advantage gained in the first ten minutes of the game and reached the break ahead by 38-43. In the third half, the CAB was not as good as it had been in the first part. On the other hand, Lusitania presented a very aggressive stance, which allowed him to win the partial by 18-13 and reach the end of the third period with a draw (56-56). The big decision of the game would thus be postponed to the last ten minutes of the meeting, which anticipated emotion and intensity. In the fourth half, the CAB came in better, and with five minutes played, it led the scorer by 62-69. The advantage was the result of a good defensive posture of the Friends, who was covering the places the paths to the basket at the guard of the Madeirans. The Lusitania's response followed, which did everything to shorten the distance to the CAB and move ahead of the marker. Proof of this is the fact that with 19 seconds to player, the result was 72-73, still in favor of the CAB. However, 7 seconds later, after two free throws, the house had already led by 74-73. In the last possession of the ball, the CAB failed to hit the pitch that worked and still committed a foul on a player of the house, who, from the free throw line, sealed the local win by 75-73. With this slip, Friends see access to playoffs difficult. However, there are still two games left in Phase Two - a trip to Guimarães and a home game against the Electric - and we know that 'our boys' will do everything to dignify the shirt they wear. In individual terms: DeAndre Mays (14), Diogo Ventura (6), Fabio Lima (14), Jovoni Shuler (24), George Blakeney (8), Jorge Coelho (5), Bruno Cavalcante (2).
