The male CAB team received Illiabum's training in a game where the only result that interested Friends was victory. Despite not having the squad in full force – Bruno Cavalcante still no return date, Carlos Bettencourt away for injury and Diogo Gameiro and Michael L’Africain just recently recovered – the CAB looked at the match with much desire and ambition. The game began best for the home team, which won the first half for 21-14. It is worth noting, in the formation of the CAB, the great collective sense that the group was showing, evident in the defensive aspects, but also in the attack, with the Madeirans doing a shared management of hello, marking points from various players. In the second period, Illiabum was more consistent, either on his own merit or for some difficulty of the CAB in finalizing the situations he was able to create in the attack. In the defensive aspects, the Friends made some disagreements that had avoided in the first half, which allowed visitors to score points in situations that had not existed before. No surprise, at the break, the ones in the house saw themselves behind the marker by 38-40. On the return of the locker rooms, a very different attitude and a strong spirit of unity were required from the house team to regain control of the meeting. That is exactly what happened, because the CAB not only limited the attacks of the opposing team with a more effective defense, but was also able to mount attack with greater collective sense and better ball sharing. All this, allowed the Madeirans to win the partial by 24-13 and move to the punctual leadership by 62-53. In the last period, even with a point margin, the CAB showed some difficulty in responding to Illiabum's pressing defense. Some ball losses and attacks not realized by Friends allowed visitors to re-enter the game and move ahead of the scorer by 70-71, with only six seconds in the match. In the last move, the CAB was not effective, hanging the game by the minimum margin.
