The men's team of the CAB was the Bridge-of-Sor face the tram, the local formation. In what was the second game of a double journey (which began on the eve with a victory over Ovarense), the Friends had ahead of them a formation that needed points to avoid demotion. The game began best for the CAB formation, which won the first period by 19-22. Although it is recording unusually low release percentages, especially in the three-point releases, Friends compensated for the slight mismatch with a very strong collective sense, which allowed the advantage over opponents at the end of the first ten minutes of play. In the second half, the balance was the dominant note and the proof of this is that, after five minutes played, the partial was 13-12 (32-34, in general), the result of the great delivery that the two formations were putting into the field. However, in the second half of the second half of the second half, the CAB proved to be more accurate in field launches, reaching the interval to lead by 42-47. To record, at the interval, an important drop on the CAB side, since Fred Gentry, one of the references of the Madeirans, was away from the meeting due to problems in the twins. Undoubtedly, a significant setback for those guided by João Paulo Silva, who would have to find ways to compensate for the exit of the veteran player. In the third period, the CAB entered very strong and with great will to take over the rule of departure for good. However, this design was not achieved by the Friends, who continued to find, on the other side of the field, a very strong team and with a technical validity superior to their current position in the classification table. In the middle of the partial, the balance remained the dominant note (53-56), which remained until the end of the period, although the CAB still managed to extend its punctual advantage before the end of the half-hour game to 65-70. In the fourth and final period, with the Madeirans showing clear signs of tiredness, Electrio, much cooler and with the complete squad, increased the pressure, and, in the middle of the partial, tied the meeting (75-75). At this point, a time-out requested by the CAB coach proved to be essential to serene the Madeiran team and convey a very important message of confidence. Recomforted by the words of their coach and leader, Friends 'packed' for a precious six-point advantage, won when 'only' two minutes left in the game. However, the departure, unfit for heart, saw the Electric reduce to two points the loss (81-83), with the chronometer reduced to thirty seconds. Then, a ball loss from the Friends, when only four seconds away from playing, allowed the house to stall the game (83-83) and took the meeting for extension. At the complementary time, the physical freshness of the tram was decisive, contrasting with the tiredness that was already noticeable in the Madeiran hosts. The 'our boys' well battled, showing all their 'fiber', but fatigue led to the best, determining the result of 93-90, in favor of the house.
