The CAB men's team confronted Maia's formation. In a totally decisive match for two teams fighting for a favorable clearance position for the playoffs, Friends knew that the expectation of winning was great and that they had to do their best, either at the concentration level or at the level of physical delivery to the game. On the other side, Maia came to Madeira to win and was not about to make life easier for the men of the house. In the first period, the CAB resembled a machine that drove hard and accurately. Thanks to a great performance in the triple release chapter, Friends won the first ten minutes by 37-23. Under the dynamic guidance of Jordan Aaron and Tommie Eddie and Jorge Coelho, the Friends did not give much chance to attack visitors. In the second half, as would be expected, Maia reacted, exploring some defensive flaws of the Madeirans. The Maia really won the period (25-26), but the CAB was once again in great shape, especially this time, to Jovonni Schuler, who shone, both in the launches and in the penetrations, for the delight of the gifts. When the teams collected from the locker rooms, the scorer scored 62-49 in favor of the CAB, which they had in Jorge Coelho (16), Jovonni Sculer (14), Tommie Eddie (14) and Jordan Aaron (13) the best markers. On the Maia side, Nuno Marçal (15) and Pedro Catarino (12) were the right ones. It is worth noting, at this stage of the meeting, the superiority of the CAB in the points (15 gains against 12 of the Maia), the use of the free throw (10/10 against 9/11 of the Maia) and the triple (12/22 against 6/11 of the Maia). As for the percentage of the two points, the advantage was for visitors (11/19 versus 8/14 of the CAB). On the return of the locker rooms, the CAB entered stronger and more determined than the Maia. Friends revealed great defensive and offensive cohesion, to which Maia responded with merit, with the result being a good basketball show, certainly illustrative of the good basketball that is still played in our country. With bat-to-tack moves, the teams tried to balance, but the CAB was superiority (24-22). No surprise, the CAB finished the half-hour game in front of the scorer by 86-71. In the last period of the game, the CAB revealed, a great accuracy in the three-point releases, that Maia felt immense difficulty in stopping, Tommie Eddie and Jordan Aaron were particularly inspired, and together scored 14 triples during the meeting. For this ‘account’, Jorge Coelho also contributed (4 triple annotated), José Correia (2) and Nuno Pedroso (1). In total, Friends noted 22 triples in 41 attempts (59% effectiveness). The CAB also finished the meeting with more emphasis (33-21) and better use of the libre bid (100%). After counting, victory smiled at the Madeirans for 110-93. In individual terms: Jordan Aaron (26), Jose Correia (10), Nuno Pedroso (5), Jovonni Schuler (18), Jorge Coelho (18), Tommie Eddie (33).
