Friends overcome by tiredness

The men's team of the CAB moved to the north of the country to measure forces with the Ovarense. In the match, the game was very difficult for Friends, not only due to the quality of the opponent, but also due to the fact that Ovarense players have been playing together for a long time, and therefore have a very strong collective 'chemistry'. However, the game began better for the Madeirans, who won the first half by 15-20. In the second half, Ovarense responded, winning the partial, but only by one point (16-15), which caused the two teams to collect in the locker room with the Friends in front for 31-35. On returning to the game, the CAB presented a very strong collective stance. Those in the house were trying to gain superiority in the game, betting essentially on the outdoor release, but the CAB was well opposed to the opponent's advances and, with the delivery of all the players, managed to win the partial by 15-31 and finish the third time in front of the result by 46-56. In the last period, Ovarense entered strong and, with seven minutes of play, had performed a partial of 14-5 and reduced to a disadvantage compared to Friends to only one point, namely 60-61. On the other hand, CAB players accused a clear physical breakdown, which affected their defensive performance and also their ability to concentrate at the time of selecting the best way to attack the basket. A minute later, Ovarense matched the match (66-66), forcing the CAB to ask for a time-out to try to reverse the rise of the men of the house. By the end of the meeting, the CAB fought hard and the players did everything to win the game. But the physical wear was huge (four players playing over 30 minutes) and Ovarense was able to take advantage of it. Undoubtedly, the game could have fallen anywhere, but eventually fell to the side of Ovarense by 79-78. We were almost...
