André Calabote takes on a new challenge in the Friends squad

André Calabote is the latest in the team of the senior male CAB team. The player, who made his training in the young layers of Barreirense and Benfica, opened a new chapter in his sports career, wearing the CAB sweater, after two years defending the colors of Sampaense. The will is to seize the future and to win a place in the Madeiran formation squad. In conversation with the Official CAB Site, Calaboth does not hide his joy for this new phase in his life. "For me, representing the CAB is a great pride and a personal and professional achievement, because it is an important club with history in Portuguese basketball. I hope to contribute successfully to the goals of the club and at the same time continue my evolution as a player and as a person." As for the reasons why he decided to embrace the Friends project, the young Portuguese highlights the work ethic of the Nazaré club, which he sees as attractive to any basketball player. "I came to the club to work hard, day after day, because this is the only way to achieve all the goals that our team has proposed to," says André Calaboth. For the player, "CAB is a club with excellent conditions and so makes the player's role easier, since we have the chance to work several times a day with plenty of quality." When it comes to the future, André Calabote reveals ambition, determination and... will to defend the CAB in the coming epochs.
