Association distinguishes Friends with Training Club of the Year awards, Mini Coach of the Year, Training Coach of the Year and Training Player of the Year

The CAB is the best basketball school in Madeira! In delivering awards that took place on the occasion of the closing of the Minicest, the Association of Basketball of Madeira recognized the contribution that the Friends of the Basketball made throughout the season to the Madeirense Basketball, awarding them the main prizes in all categories. Thus, in addition to being elected Training Club of the Year, CAB saw Coach Gilva Alves receive the award for ‘Trainer Mini of the Year’ and Coach Faty Silva receive the award for ‘Trainer of the Year’. Also player Inês Vieira received the prize of ‘Formation Player of the Year’. In collective terms, the Mini-8 team was consecrated Regional Champion, as well as the Mini-10 team, which also won the Regional Championship. Although they were not regional champions, the Mini-12 also recorded a high-quality season, which greatly dignified the club. In addition to these titles, regional champions were also the teams of Sub-14 Women, Sub-16 Females, Sub-19 Females and Senior Males. However, these trophies have already been delivered after the completion of the respective championships. “I am happy for these awards because they recognize a very serious work that has been done throughout the year in our echelons and a whole logic of Training that guides the work in our club and that vocations us to prepare athletes for basketball, but also for Life, which is the most important.
