American athlete strengthens squad of friends

Christian Shelter is CAB reinforcement for the 2013-2014 season. The player, from the University of South Alabama, will join the young team of friends in the season that is now beginning. Shelter is 25 years old and six feet tall. In statements to the CAB Official Site, Coach João Pedro Vieira made an analysis of the foreigner who will wear the CAB sweater, referring to: “She is a player who can play various positions, and for that reason she will play an important role, either in the outer shot or playing in the inner areas, with her back to the basket. Because it is your first experience outside the US, the entire working group will help you to have a good adaptation to different customs and cultures so that it can help our team be as competitive as possible.” The arrival of Shelter is scheduled for this week, with the athlete joining the team in time to take part in the Victor Hugo Cup, the preseason trophy that the Friends will be competing for this weekend in the Lousada region.
