In the coming days 9 and 10 June, our women's under-16 team will compete for the 16th National Under-16 Women's Cup. The event will bring together the best national teams in the Lumbos Pavilion, and besides the CAB, the formations of Pombal, Quinta dos Lombos and União Sportiva dos Açores will be present. In the first game of the race, which will take place at 8:15 on the 9th, our athletes will face the Pombal team. If you win, the CAB will automatically win for the final of the cup, where you will face the winner of the match between Quinta dos Lombos and União Sportiva. The decisive game is at 11:30 on the 10th. It should be recalled that the participation of CAB athletes in this race was fully funded by the families of athletes, who gathered the necessary budget for this purpose by carrying out several initiatives for fundraising. On the eve of giving birth to the competition, the athlete Lia Fernandes spoke to the Official CAB Site, making the preview of the club's participation in this final phase. For Lia, the intention of the group guided by Coach Zé Costa is clear: “Our goal now is to win the National Cup. We have trained a lot to achieve this goal.” Despite this objective, Lia Fernandes mentions the great respect that the CAB has for the opposing teams. According to the player, “We will play against good teams, but we hope to beat them because we believe that when we are united, nothing wins us. In both games we will fight and we will not give up, and we will give all our strength to win.” To win, Lia leaves the recipe: “From the first minute to the last, we will play hard, defend well and we will give no chance for the other team to take us away. We're a good team with a good coach who never gives up. So we will do anything to win the cup and be able to pride our club.”
