Tomás Gomes, member of the Sub-16 Men's team, is one of the athletes invited to join the 'School of Champions' project. The initiative that started last Monday and is now in its first phase, has offered the athletes who are part of the project the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the basketball game and start a new phase in their preparation as basketball players. On the fifth day of training, the CAB Official Site spoke to Tomás and asked him about his impressions about the project and also his plans for the future. This conversation is recorded here. 1 - How are the Champions School practice going? You're doing great! 2 - Has it been difficult to wake up in the morning to come to practice while many of your colleagues are sleeping or going to the beach? Not much, because since practice has been in the morning, I get the afternoon off and I can sleep, go to the beach or do other activities... 3 - What is your idea of the project so far? It's been interesting, and I believe that if it keeps going like this, it's going in a good way. 4 - Do you think the project will help you become a better basketball player? Of course! 5 - Many athletes want to be great players or basketball players, but are not willing to sacrifice themselves for their dreams. What are you willing to do for your dreams and your goals in basketball? A lot. For example, instead of going to a party or something that I get tired of, practice, because the next day I'll still be tired, but I evolve. 6 - With the beginning of the class, do you think you can reconcile being in Champions School and fulfilling your academic obligations? Sort of, but about that, I get used to it. 7 - Would you like one day to be a player in the senior CAB team? Of course, because that's what I'm working for.
