Diana Melim has had, in recent years, a remarkable rise in the club. As a result of the formation of the Friends, Diana has been an assiduous frequency in the fields of improvement carried out by the CAB and is also part of the 'School of Champions' project. This year, the athlete is part of the squad of the female senior team, being part of the lot of players who are also part of the Satellite Team, which competes in the First Division. Thanks to her commitment and dedication, Diana has taken on an increasing role in the teams she integrates, revealing herself as an increasingly secure promise to the present and future of the CAB. Between the full hours of training and classes, the athlete spoke to the Official CAB Website. Here's your words: How's the senior experience going? It's been a pleasant experience. I always like to work with older players and with more experience so that I can somehow evolve. You're part of the team of players that is part of the League team and also the First Division team. Is the difference in competition between the two levels a lot? I'm not saying there's a lot of difference between the two levels, but there is. If not, there would be no distinction between the League teams and the First Division teams. Over the years, you have managed to reconcile, brilliantly, the practice of basketball with studies. What is the 'secret' for this and what advice would you give to athletes who also want to be good students or students? Everyone in life has their ups and downs. I've had my shorts, as far as school goes, and I choose never to have them again! My advice is that they be organized and that they don't leave the things they can do on time to do later. I like to get good grades, and see that the effort of my studies worked out. For the last few years, you've been joining the CAB Tournament staff. This time, we have marked 20 years since the first CAB Tournament, whose first edition was in 1994. What do you expect from the 2014 CAB Tournament? May you improve every year and provide all athletes participating in the event with a good experience in basketball and socialization with other teams. What are your goals, whether as a professional or a basketball player? At a professional level, I hope to finish the course of Childhood Support Technician, and follow that course. At the basketball level, I always hope to improve, so I can have more opportunities to play. Your brother Diogo Melim is also a club player in the sub-24 class. Are there many 'briefs' at home to see who is best athlete? :-) There's no fighting. No doubt he plays better. He has greater physical capacity. But that doesn't mean that in the future, I can't get where he is. In a word, how would you describe the CAB? Fellowship
