On January 31st, Saturday, the CAB, the DPA and the Naval take basketball back into the pool... all in the name of solidarity for people with special needs. The event, which is the reissue of the solidarity game that the three institutions have organized in the last four years, will bring together familiar faces of Madeiran society, bringing together personalities of sport, arts, politics, media, among other areas. To represent the CAB will be Francisco Gomes, chairman of the Board, and Pedro Freitas, member of the Board of Directors of the SAD of Friends of the Basketball. According to the information released by the organizers, the match will place front to front 'Friends of the CAB' and 'Friends of the Naval' and is scheduled for 7pm, in the swimming pools of Nazareth. The game will be preceded by another game, in which they will measure 'CABIST' and 'Navalists' forces of the Minis echelons, which will give their support to this initiative, showing that solidarity is not old, but just want. The presentation of the event is scheduled for 12 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, at a press conference to be held at the headquarters of the DPA. To the CAB Official Site, Francisco Gomes noted, "This is the fourth edition of an event that is already part of the annual calendar of the three institutions involved. In good time we launch the initiative, which is our way of saying that we are united in support for people with special needs and that we are in solidarity with the battles they fight daily to win in a society that has not yet embraced them as it should."
