The men's CAB team received and won the Lusitania formation in another game of the Men's League Second Phase. Throughout the season, the CAB has always done well in the games against the Azoreans, being today's game a confirmation of this trend, with the superiority of the CAB by 97-83. The match began best for the CAB team, which won the first half by 22-17. The superiority of the CAB was gradually constructed, because, in the early moments, the Friends could not adapt with the effectiveness they intended. In the second half, the CAB was again superior (28-19), the result of its good collective performance. Despite some defensive flaws, the Madeirans claimed to be superior in important chapters of the game, notably in the conquest of leaps (21 wins against Lusitania 11) and in the release of three points (9 converted against none of the visitors), which allowed them to reach the interval to win by 50-36. In the third period, the CAB was not so well and lost the partial by 21-24. However, the Friends managed to maintain superiority in the marker (71-60). In the last time, the CAB came to lead by 19 points, an advantage that resulted both from the ability to play CAB and from some physical wear and tear of Lusitania. However, the victory of the Friends (97-83) is indisputable and meritorious.
