The CAB team went to Carcavelos to face the formation of Lombos. In addition to having a well-trained and organized team in front of them, the Friends fought against the accumulated tiredness of the game they played the day before against Benfica, which they had won. Therefore, an additional sacrifice was required from the Madeirans, as it was their second game in just two days. The match began best for the formation of the house, which won the first period by 18-14. Statistically speaking, the CAB was playing better than the Loins in all categories: it had gained more points (10 to 7) and was launching better (46% of utilization against 44% of Loins). However, the Friends were compromising their superiority in the losses of the ball (8 performed against only 5 of the Loins). It was this aspect that was fundamentally determining the advantage of the continental team, as it was effectively taking advantage of the devolutions of CAB athletes. In the second half, the friends were superior to the home team and won the second half for 19-25, reaching the interval in front of the marker by 37-39. At this stage of the meeting, the highlight goes to the spirit of union that the CAB showed, even when Lombos seemed to want to take over the reins of the meeting. The CAB explored its strengths well, especially the game near the basket, highlighting the performances that were being signed by Aleighsa Welch (9 points), Ejay Ofomata (9 points) and Britany Miller (8 points). Leonor Nunes (6 points) was also being a headache for the opposite defense, with its youth and dynamism. In collective terms, at the interval, the CAB continued to launch better than Lombos (61% of use compared to 47%) and to gain more emphasis (16 against 12 of the home team). As for the losses of the ball, the Friends only committed two in the second half, which also justifies the greater effectiveness of their attack in the second period. On the return of the locker rooms, the CAB again recorded a fall in production and lost part of the third period by 54-53. If it is true that Lombos had merit in the turn he made in the marker, it is not very true that, in the CAB part, the inadmissible failures and the poor selection of launch were accentuated. Despite the superiority in the highlights still being of the Amigas (23 against 18), in half an hour of play the CAB had already committed 20 losses of ball, a worrying number for any team with the aspirations of the Madeirans and that denoted a great lack of care in the management of the possession of ball. Unsurprisingly, the third period ended with the CAB at a disadvantage by 54-52, a result that was justified especially due to the CAB's unattentions. In the last period, the CAB entered with a lot of determination and did everything to ensure dominance over the pace of the game. The work of the CAB was not being easy, because Lombos, galvanized by the provision in the previous period, was also determined to win the game and not let the Madeirans gain advantage in the scorer. However, in the first part of the last time, the will and effectiveness of the CAB were superior to the defensive capacity of the Lumbos. After four minutes, the CAB had gained an advantage of 7 points (60-67), much of the collective work among its athletes and the inspiration of Aleighsa Welch, which, at this stage, already amounted to 26 points. Loins did not give up and respond with greater pressure and aggression. When they had three minutes to play, the house had balanced the scorer in 68-71 and promised a fight for victory until the last second. Only the best CAB could win. At forty seconds of the end, the difference between the two teams was minimal (71-72). After a 3 second breach by the CAB, the marker remained and the time had reduced to 17 seconds. In these last seconds, the heart of the CAB was stronger, with the defense of the Friends to avoid the realization of two Lumbos releases and to win the game by 1 point. In individual terms: Cintia France (9), Joana Lopes (7), Leonor Nunes (6), Aleighsa Welch (28), Ejay Ofomata (10) and Britany Miller (12).
