CAB and 'Young Consciousness' hold hands for young people at risk

Continuing its social mission, the CAB will host an initiative dedicated to supporting young people at risk. This time, as a result of a partnership between the CAB and the 'Young Consciousness' group, the Basketball Friends will organize a basketball tournament that will include eight youth teams, four female teams and four male teams. The event, which is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, 7 September, is yet another example of the CAB's dedication to causes of solidarity aimed at supporting social groups that are facing serious challenges, made even heavier by the climate of financial difficulties affecting the whole country. "I believe that our duty as a club is to help institutions that aim to support those who suffer and are marginalized, so that they can face and overcome the challenges that affect their lives," said Francisco Gomes, president of the CAB. "It makes no sense to be in Sport if we are merely competitive. Because Sport is much more than competition, it makes sense to put it at the service of people and causes like the one we will be supporting on Sunday," concluded the leader of Friends.
