The CAB male team faced the formation of the Sampaense in a yoke disputed in the CAB Pavilion. The Friends wanted to win the victory and end 2016 in great. However, they also knew that they had a very competitive team ahead of them and that they had to be at their best to overcome it. The game began best for the CAB, which won the first period for 30-25. The initial advantage of the CAB went through a lot for the good performance at the level of the external launch (the Friends converted 6 triples) and also in the domain of the tables (the house's gained more emphasis than the opponents). Even so, Sampaense proved to be a combative team and did not let the house ‘fire’ on the marker. In the second half, the CAB was again superior (19-17), but the game took on contours of much greater balance. The long-distance launch was not as effective for the CAB as it had been in the first half, but still a very strong defensive posture (with 8 ball robberies achieved at the break), kept the Friends in the race, allowing the Madeirans to reach the break ahead by 49-42. On the way back to the game, the CAB team was better. The Friends dominated all aspects of the game, winning the partial by an expressive 31-12, cementing their leadership in the scorer after 30 minutes of play with the result of 80-54. In the last time, the CAB team was again superior by the 24-17 partial, numbers that allowed the Friends coach to give a few minutes of play to the younger athletes of the Friends squad. The end of the match came with the result of 104-71, which reflects well the superiority demonstrated by the CAB throughout the match, especially in the second half, as well as the individual and collective quality of its game. In individual terms: Diogo Gameiro (9), JoséCorreia (5), Stefan Djukic (15), Fabio Lima (12), Michael L'Africain (20), Arvydas Gydra (18), Alex Marzette (10), Fred Gentry (15).
