It was head-on that the CAB entered the game against Victory, aware that it was a match within their reach and that if they played what they know, the Friends could achieve a very positive result. The locals won the first period by 36-12 and showed in the field a near-perfect execution of the offensive and defensive plan they brought to the meeting. Except for a few slips, of which a dozen points Victoria noted, the CAB was able to limit to a minimum the main offensive weapons of the continentals and exploit to the maximum their main values, both in-game and long-distance. Note that in the first half, the CAB recorded an incredible percentage of field launches (85%), which contrasted with the low percentage of visitors (30%). In the second half, the CAB won again, this time by 21-20. As expected, Victoria's response arose, but the CAB managed to match, without letting the Northmen take over the reins of the game. However, if on the side of the Friends, there were many offensive contributions to the game of Madeirans, already in the visitors the game was more centralized. Proof of this is the fact that, at the interval, the main markers in the CAB were DeAndre Mays (13), Jovoni Shuler (12) and Fabio Lima (16), while in the Victoria, the destque was for João Guerreiro (15). At this stage of the meeting, the percentage of use of CAB releases remained high (72%, against 41% of Vitória), and those of the house also dominated in the caveats (14 gains, against 13 visitors). On the other hand, in the losses of the ball, Victoria recorded 9, while the CAB only 4. In the third half, Victoria reacted, entering the game with enormous aggression and doing everything-for-all to inhibit the CAB. However, the Friends were not intimidated and, with great delivery, especially in the defensive sector, they managed to contain successive attacks by the continentals. In the offensive plan, the CAB was also able to deal well with the alternation that visitors made between the 'man-to-man' defense and the 'zone' defense, marking and taking advantage of the opportunities they knew how to create. After winning the third period by 18-17 (and with the marker to mark 75-49 for those of the house), the fourth period arrived. Victoria put enormous pressure on the men of the CAB and bet everything on scoring points, especially on outside launches, in order to minimize the accumulated disadvantage. At an early stage, however, the CAB gradually regained the serenity needed to make an intelligent game, particularly in ball management, attack times and the selection of pitches. In the end, the victory was from the Madeirans by 87-77, a result that puts the CAB in the fight for a place in the playoffs. Adding to the good result, the Friends performed a great exhibition, which made the audience happy that made themselves (and listen!) in the CAB Pavilion. In individual terms: Jovoni Shuler (24), DeAndre Mays (26), Diogo Ventura (2), Fabio Lima (18), Jorge Coelho (11), George Blakeney (6).
