CAB and Olivais met in Funchal for the second playoff game of access to the Women's League Final Phase. The game was decisive for the Madeirans, who needed to win to match the 'series' and force a third game against Coimbra's formation. For the continentals, a victory would give immediate access to the Finals, while a defeat would lead to another game, to compete again in Madeira. This high-risk match for the two sets began best for the home team, which won the first half by 24-10. The offensive provision of the CAB in the first ten minutes was very strong, as was its presence in the area of the caveats, where it conquered 10 in the first half. However, in defence, the provision of the CAB was particularly sound, limiting the opposing team to a use of only 35% in launches (5/14). In the second half, the Madeirans were again superior and won the partial, this time by 22-18. In the attack, the Friends were switching with great effectiveness the inner game with the outer game, element that had missed in the first game. The proof of this is that, at the interval, the CAB had already scored four triples, forcing the opposing defense to cover a larger area of the field. In defense, the CAB remained very strong, having forced 9 ball losses on the opponent in 20 minutes of play. Therefore, the advantage of the CAB at the interval by 46-28 was fair. In the third half, the CAB again won (17-14) and won a 21-point advantage on the scorer (63-42). In general terms, the Madeirans remained very effective in defending the strengths of the Olivais and inspired by the offensive table, making their inner game worthwhile. In the four and last time, Olivais increased the pressure on the CAB, which chose to manage the conquered advantage and also the squad itself, already thinking about the game the next day. In the end, the victory turned out to be the CAB, by the result of 76-58. Friends' victory means the CAB and Olivais will decide tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., the ticket to the Women's League Finals. The game is played in the CAB Pavilion, so the invitation and appeal to all basketball fans to come to the CAB home to support the Madeira team.
