CAB/CSM and Calvão met in Funchal, in the CAB Pavilion, in a match for the eighth day of the First Division. 'Winning' was the slogan in the house class, which needed to win the game 'like bread for mouth' in order to ensure some stability in the class table. For this purpose, the CAB/CSM had the precious help of some of the athletes who are part of the squad that competes with the Women's League, who, because they do not have competitive League commitments, could contribute to the Satellite Team. On the Calvão side, the will was to 'break' the plans of young friends and leave Madeira with a victory. For this, they had the great physical arguments they have, the result of the high and very mobile players who constitute the team. A balanced and emotional departure was therefore anticipated. Would the CAB/CSM be able to win such a desired victory? Or would Calvão be throwing the party? The game began better for the visiting team, but before the continental players could gain a great advantage, the CAB/CSM reacted and rejoined the game. As the minutes passed, the players of the house were gaining a slight upward on the decker, but never cemented an advantage that was expressive enough to say that the game was totally on their side. It was in this whole balance that the game reached the break. The return of the locker rooms was best achieved by Calvão's team. The visitors enjoyed some physical wear and tear and lack of coordination of Madeiran athletes and imposed their rhythm on the game. In addition to these factors, Calvão was well able to take advantage of his offensive sarcasm, making his presence felt in the chapter of the caveats, gaining several second opportunities for launching. However, a very determined CAB/CSM regained the reins of the game and managed to turn the result around. This has greatly contributed to a renewed defensive attitude, which allowed young friends to sharpen points and move towards victory. The final result was 63-51, favorable to the formation of the house. In a brief review of the game, Ricardop Montes, coach of the Satellite Team, noted: "The strengthening of the defended attitude in the second part allowed us to recover many balls and create antabildiade to the attack of Calvão. It made us get rapid transitions to the attack and more effective attacks." In conclusion, it remains for us to thank the 'our girls' for another game in which they totally turned themselves in and were an example of sacrifice. It is encouraging and proud to see them play and we believe that by continuing to work as committedly as they have done, these athletes will continue to give the club many joys.
