Once again, the CAB Pavilion was the meeting point of several schools that came to the Friends' home to discover the ‘magic’ of basketball. This time, the club of Nazareth received more than seventy students from the schools of Tanque, Nazaré, Lombada and Maria Eugénia Canavial. In all, four educational establishments have had the opportunity to spend a different day. In addition to games and other field exercises, visitors met the CAB facilities, saw live the vast collection of regional and national trophies won by the CAB teams over thirty years of history and learned about the club’s history and its dynamic action these days. In addition to the teachers and students of the schools present, the CAB Training Coordinators were involved in this initiative, who guided the ‘trainers’ with great energy and rhythm. In statements to the official CAB website, club president Francisco Gomes noted: “We are a club open to all society and we welcome all those who want to learn more about basketball and about our beautiful history as an institution in our pavilion with great joy and pride.” Regarding the relevance of these initiatives, Francisco Gomes said: “We are a Training Club and the Formation of children and young people for basketball and for life is something that is in our genetics. This type of initiative is as important to us as competition and we always expect children and young people to get the idea that basketball is essentially a school of values.”
