Club announces renewal of athlete contract

The CAB Board has just announced the renewal of Sara Barreira's contract for the 2015-2016 season. The athlete, who is Madeiran and graduated from the club of Nazaré, thus continues her career in the club that saw her born for basketball, confirming a link that was widely desired by both parties. CAB leaders remain committed to maintaining their team. The Friends' bet on the club's formed players is not a novelty, but, of this time, takes on renewed importance given the huge exit that has been verified among Portuguese players to the USA and for foreign championships, especially Spain. In statements to the CAB website, João Pedro Vieira, coach of the Women's Team, expressed his satisfaction for the continuity of the athlete. “I am very pleased to know that Sara Barreira will continue with us, because she is one of the athletes who is still in the satellite team project and who is already getting some interesting minutes in the Women’s League,” the technician noted. “I hope that this new season Sara continues to evolve in the same way she has been doing, which will be very good for her career and that makes her another athlete who can help seniors,” she concluded.
