Countdown for the one that is considered the largest training tournament in Basketball, in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Thus, the 18th edition of the CAB Tournament Madeira is already in progress and the days, hours and minutes are counted to begin. Everything is being prepared in the highest detail, so that once again it is possible to provide all participants with unforgettable moments for their lives. In competitive terms, they participate in this event, the sub-14 male and female, sub-16 female, sub-19 female and sub-20 male. The “initial basket” is scheduled for July 1, at 3:30 p.m., with the Opening Ceremony scheduled for 21:00 p.m. that same day. And get ready for many surprises and rare moments of beauty and animation. So, you already know, in July, all roads will lead to the CAB pavilion in Nazareth. 25 teams in competition Throughout the tournament will be in competition 25 teams (will compete a total of 42 games), which represent 7 clubs from the continent and 3 from Madeira. Thus, the following clubs are visiting the island: SIMECQ, (Lisbon), Freguesia Campo e Sobrado (Porto), FC Gaia (Gaia), Salesians do Estoril (Lisbon – Estoril), CU Sportiva (Açores), Quinta dos Lombos (Lisbon), Paço d’Arcos (Lisbon). These emblems participate with 13 formations divided by the various echelons, bringing to Madeira about three hundred athletes, who will still be accompanied by another hundred parents and friends. In total, about 350 young basketball players of various ages and genders will be involved. So that this basketball machine does not stop and is well tuned, they collaborate in the organization about half a hundred people, who demonstrate the greatness of this tournament. And as a curiosity, it is noted that so that no one is hungry, they are expected to be served close to a thousand meals Coach Tertulia and ‘CAB Jam Session’ On the 2nd of July, Thursday, at 10:00 p.m., a Tertulia de Coaches and a Cab JAM SESSION are scheduled. During their stay in the Region, outside teams will have the opportunity to make some tours around Funchal city visiting points of tourist interest. Everything is also ready for the closing ceremony, on 4 July, by 21 hours, where the best will be consecrated, with delivery of various trophies and individual awards.
