This Wednesday, the CAB Pavilion welcomes students from the Lugar da Serra School, in the Campanário, for a different morning of activities and Christmas celebration. As it has been a tradition of the club in recent years, the headquarters of Friends will open the doors to dozens of children, who will know the facilities of the CAB, learn a little about its history and take part in activities with the male professional team. In addition to these activities, small visitors will also be entitled to a snack, organized by the Country Club, and will take home, each of them, a Christmas present, in the form of a reminder of the different morning they spent with FAMILY CAB. Undoubtedly, it will be a fun time for the children of the School of Place of Serra, who will have the opportunity to live closely with the basketball stars of the CAB and to feel the human spirit that defines the Club of Parents and the entire CAB FAMILY. "This is already a tradition of the club, which, in recent years, at this time, welcomes children from disadvantaged schools and tries, even for a brief moment, to put a smile on the faces of children who often have no reason to smile," said Francisco Gomes, president of the CAB. "We believe that it is our duty, not only at Christmas, but at all times of the year, to do everything in our power so that children - because they are a special and sometimes unprotected group - feel that we are in a world where, although there are bad things, there are also good things, there is hope, there are people who care about them and who are here to tell them that what really matters is not where they come from but where we can get to if we have the ability to dream and work for that dream. Christmas hope is also that," concluded the leader of FAMILY CAB.
