Family Club organizes tournament for younger stars

This Saturday, the CAB-Madeira gathers in its pavilion several regional communities for a mini-basket tournament. The objective of the event is to give the newest stars of Madeiran basketball the opportunity to compete and live together, always in a healthy spirit of camaraderie, conviviality and passion for basketball. The competition classes will be mini-10, mini-12 and sub-14, of both genres. The big surprise of the tournament is that one of the tournament teams is the Funchal Naval Club. This time, Naval swimmers will measure forces against CAB basketball players in the field of Friends, inverting what happened recently in the water basketball tournament, in which Friends faced Navalists in the swimming pools of Nazareth. In addition to the CAB, host club, and the Naval Club, athletes from the Francisco Franco School, Funchal and Galomar will also take part in the event. Therefore, enthusiasm and entertainment are guaranteed. Between the moments of competition and the stages of conviviality, we will know if swimmers behave better in the basketball field than basketball players behaved within the swimming pools. Without a doubt, an event that is, in essence, a great sport party.
