Club strengthens position in the fight against drugs and risk behaviors

The CAB and the Instituto de Administração da Saúde da Madeira have agreed a partnership that involves working together in the fight against drug use and risk behaviors. The partnership, which will be made official during this week, by signing a cooperation protocol, mainly aims to strengthen the position of the club in the fight against the consumption of risk substances, reinforcing its capacity for awareness and intervention in these areas along with the entire demography of Friends of the Basketball. According to the information disclosed by the Coordination of the CAB, the protocol that will be made official at the beginning of next week provides that the I.A. Health undertakes to provide a technical team to bolster awareness and/or training actions aimed at technical staff, athletes and their parents. In turn, the CAB undertakes to spread messages alluding to the prevention of dependencies by posting them on its premises, its publication on the Club's Official Site, the Official Page on Facebook and the sports and social events it performs, without prejudice to using other forms of dissemination that are relevant and timely. To the Official website of the CAB, the chairman of the Board, Francisco Gomes, welcomed the club for this important step in the fight against risk behaviors, obsessing, "I believe it is our duty, as a club essentially dedicated to training, to act as promoter of all mechanisms to combat the problem of drugs, because this is an inalienable responsibility of any institution that, like the CAB, works daily with hundreds of children and young people." According to the club leader, "Our responsibility to form people is not exhausted in basketball. On the contrary, we must always aim at a global formation, which also prepares for Life, and in this spirit the preparation and mobilization of all our club demography, from athletes and coaches to parents and leader, to combat drugs, is perfectly framed."
