The second day of the CAB Tournament was marked by eleven games. In the morning, in the sub-19 class of women, the house team, the CAB measured forces with the Valongo team, with the Madeirans to be superior by the result of 26-64. Still in the morning, but already in the sub-14 male ranks, the CAB beat ADRAP by 92-7. In the early afternoon, the Tournament Organization held another technical meeting, but this time with those responsible for the teams that arrived in Madeira this morning or last night. The meeting went well and served to clarify all participants on the regulation, calendar and other important logistical aspects of the event. After the meeting, it was the return to the games. In the first round of games, in the sub-16 male, Valongo won the SIMECQ by 38-27, while in the same league, the CAB defeated the GBA by 76-27. In the sub-16 female ranks, the CAB won the Valongo by 44-33. In the second round, at the sub-14 female level, the CAB outperformed the SIMECQ by 12-87, while, in sub-16 female, Tavira won the Club 5 Basketball by 32-31, in a game of great emotion and delivery from both teams. In the sub-14 male ranks, SIMECQ was stronger than ADRAP and won the game by 40-26. In the third, and last, game round, in the sub-20 male ranks, the CAB won the SIMECQ by 52-47, while in the sub-19 female ranks, Lombos led to the best over the CAB by 40-38, after prolongation. In the sub-14 female ranks, the Ovarense beat the Valongo 26-37. After the games, all the teams present at the tournament met at the pavilion restaurant to watch the broadcast of the football game between Portugal and Wales, with those present to be able to vibrate live with the performance of the Quinas Team in the Euro 2016 half-final. After football, the opening of the CAB tournament followed. It was a great party, with all the participating teams marching to the sound of good music. After the delivery of the host club, a choreography moment was followed by the players ‘from the house’, as well as interventions by Sidónio Fernandes, Vice President of the Portuguese Basketball Federation, and Francisco Gomes, Chairman of the CAB Board, who dedicated the tournament to the team of collaborators of the event. Tomorrow will be another day of great activity at the CAB Tournament. In addition to the eighteen scheduled games, a Coach Tertulia will be held, which will have included a sharing of typical delicacies of the various areas of the country represented at the event, as well as a Hippie Festival, which promises to bring joy and good conviviality to all present.
