Communication from the CAB Directorate on the measures to be taken concerning Covid-19

The Board of the Club Friends of the Basketball continues to monitor and monitor the evolution of the situation continuously. Thus, and considering the evolution in the last 24 hours at the level: a) the evolution of the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19; b) the pandemic classification by the World Health Organization (WHO); c) the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS); d) the recommendations of the local Public Health entities (IASAÚDE and Regional Government of Madeira), with impact on sports activity; e) the measures announced by the Portuguese Federation of Basketball and Association of Basketball of Madeira. In this sense the Club Board decided to suspend immediately: - All the activity of the club's training classes until the end of Easter holidays; - The training of senior teams until the end of this week. It was also decided: - To limit access to the Club facilities to its workers and members of the Board; - Implement a contingency plan. Given the constant evolution of the situation in Portugal and the Autonomous Region of Madeira, the direction of the CAB will continue to monitor this issue daily, reviewing the measures so far implemented as soon as the situation justifies it.
