Press conference was held this afternoon at the CAB Pavilion

The 19th edition of the CAB Tournament was presented this afternoon. The presentation took place in the CAB Pavilion and was attended by the club president, Francisco Gomes, as well as by the Tournament Coordinators, João Pedro Vieira and João Paulo Silva. Some of the staff members of the event also attended. The CAB Tournament will run from 6 to 10 July. It is already confirmed the presence of 28 teams, a total of about 350 athletes, 100 companions and 50 collaborators. The event will involve 60 games, all of which will take place in the CAB Pavilion. The competition ranks are sub-14, sub-16, sub-19 and sub-20. According to data released by the Organization, the CAB Tournament, which is one of the largest held in Portugal, brings an investment in the regional economy of EUR 40,000, in direct investment, and more than EUR 10,000, in indirect investment. In addition, the event functions as a tourist projection of the Madeira destination, operating as a privileged platform for promotion of the Region to the sports sector and not only, as several education officers of the participating teams also participate in the Tournament. The official opening of the tournament will be on Wednesday at 9 p.m. at the CAB Pavilion.
