The women's CAB team receivesI the Sporting Union, in a match counting for the second Women's League journey. The game was held at an unusual hour (21.00 p.m.), which was due to the fact that the friends responded favorably to a request made by the Azoreans to rest after a long journey, in a real proof of island and sport solidarity. The meeting started better for the visiting team. Friends, who have acted as pink equipment today, have entered the match somewhat apathetic, which the Azoreans have been able to exploit with merit. A reaction in the second half of the first half allowed the CAB to move ahead of the marker and reach the end of the first ten minutes to win by 14-9. By this time, the main offensive reference of the house was Carolina Escortius, which already had 8 points noted. In the second half, the CAB 'closed ranks' and 'struck' the opponent with a solid defensive performance. In the first 5 minutes of the second half, the Friends recorded a partial of 13-2 and never looked back. With Joana Lopes and Catarina Freitas taking a leading role in the organization of the attack, Carolina Escorcio (15 points to the interval) and Ashley (10 points to the interval) were the most effective in writing baskets. In the interval, the marker recorded 37-14, favorable to Madeirans. On the return of the locker rooms, the Madeirans came back to play badly. Perhaps a quick reaction by the players allowed us to turn the events around. With great dominance in the defensive chapter (13 ball robberies in the game) and in the highlights (36 wins in the game, against 21 of Sportiva), the CAB built an advantage that came to be 31 points, a point difference that reflected well the commitment of the house in defensive and offensive tasks. Sportiva continued to try to react, especially through American Shaqwedia Wallace, who was the most unconformed in the visiting squad. Even so, the period ended with the marker in 59-33, in favor of the CAB. In the fourth period, the pace of play decreased, with the Friends making several rotations that decreased their competitiveness. In addition, the defensive provision of those commanded by João Pedro was lower, which contrasted with Sportiva's greatest success. The visitors won, with merit, the period for 14-29, but the victory no longer escaped the Friends, with the result of 73-62. In individual terms: Cintia France (1), Joana Lopes (4), Catarina Freitas (3), Julie Forster (20), Ashley Bruner (12), Carolina Escorcio (22) and Carla Freitas (11).
