The women's CAB team received the Quinta dos Lombos in the first game of the Women's League playoff final. In a game of extreme impostance for both teams, as it would give one of them an important advantage in the decision of the national champion, who decides to the best of three matches, Friends and continentals knew they had to be at their best level, because only their best level would guarantee victory. The game started better for visitors. The formation of Carcavelos won the first period by 15-18 and dominated the rhythm of the game. With Tierra Henderson scoring eight points, Loins imposed itself on the CAB. In turn, in the athletes of the house, there was apathy, with slow executions of attacks and defense to present inadmissible gaps at this stage of the championship. It was also notorious that the Madeirans did not act as a team with ambitions. The second period was, for the home team, an even worse version of the first half. The CAB players did not seem to hit with the markings to the formation of Loins, allowing easy baskets and in areas near the basket. Already in the attacks, the CAB revealed precipitation, slowness and a very poor choice of launches. Due to the Lumbos and demerit of the CAB, the interval arrived with the marker in 27-34, in favor of continentals. At this stage of the game, Mery Andrade and Tierra Henderon were the best annotators in Lombos, with 10 points each. The CAB had its main reference in Taj McWilliams, with 7 points and 6 points, and Marta Bravo, with 8 points. In the caveats, the CAB had superiority (14-10), but had already committed more than twice the ball losses of Loins (13-5), which explained much of what was going on in the field, to the sadness of CAB supporters. On the return of the locker rooms, the CAB outlined a reaction and won the period by 15-13. Friends, thanks above all to a greater defensive commitment, managed to force errors in the Lombos team, which resulted in effective transitions to the attack. Although the rhythm of the game is not the one to which the CAB has used us, the Amigas revealed the desire to turn the result around, with the end of the third period arriving with the marker in 42-47. In the fourth period, the 'best' CAB insisted on not showing up, with Loins giving a great replica of himself, revealing serenity, cool head, weighting and a very strong intensity in defensive and offensive tasks. With all due merit and knowledge, visitors carried out their game plan and explored very effectively their physical power and the weaknesses of the CAB, which in this game were several and great. The passage of time dictated a 'mad race' from the house to score points, but the gaps in the attack also allowed Lombos to do the same. In a bat-to-tack game, the Carcavelos team came out victorious, as it had already accumulated a significant advantage and managed to manage the difference in the scorer. Winning the fourth quarter (15-18), Lombos also won the game for the result of 57-65 and placed himself in front of the title race for the partial of 0-1. Now, the title decision moves to Carcavelos, where the second game will be played, and, if necessary, the third. To Lombos, just win a game to win the championship, while to the CAB it is required to win both. Both teams will focus on studying this game and try to take advantage of its strengths and bridge its weaknesses. In individual terms: Cintia France, Catarina Freitas, Carla Relva, Ana Jardim, Taj McWilliams (11), Marta Bravo (10), Maria João (14), Carla Freitas, Schera Sampson (16) and Carolina Escorcio (6).
