Over the past six years, our club has enjoyed the privilege of seeing its colors defended by Jorge Coelho, one of the most international and emblematic of Portuguese players. Member of one of the best generations of Portuguese basketball players, Jorge served the CAB with pride, dedication, delivery and an exemplary sense of professionalism, unique in our country. In all fairness, it was also a flagship of our Men's Team and a safe voice in the locker room and in the field. We do not forget the leadership Jorge Coelho offered to several teams of the club, in good times, but also in the least positive. When others wavered, doubted, hesitated and apologized, Jorge - with his love for the CAB and Madeira - was a human force for good, which helped the team and the club look forward even more firmly and even more decisively. If a man's measure is how he acts in the face of adversities and setbacks, then we can only say that George was a true leader, friend and present. Nor do we forget the altruism that marked Jorge's passage in the CAB. Fighting the fatigue caused by the games, the injuries resulting from the fight for tables and even against unfair and unfounded stigmas, Jorge never lowered his arms and left everything inside the field. Easy for you to say. More difficult, it is to put into practice what is said. And in that respect, Jorge's career at the CAB was absolutely exemplary. Finally, we remember how much Jorge touched the lives of those who crossed paths with him. From Formation players to teammates, passing by club staff, coaches and managers, everyone has a positive image and recognition by Jorge, exalting the way he always defended the club and sought to honor it throughout his career in Madeira.
