Men's Team in action at the Horace Benedict School of Gouveia

On Wednesday, the men's team of the CAB will be attending the Horace Benedict School of Gouveia. The initiative, which is part of the work of proximity that CAB professionals have been developing in various teaching centers in Madeira, aims to promote the modality and to make known to the younger people the Training Mission of Friends of the Basketball, as well as its players. In statements to the CAB Official Site, the coach of the male team explains the logic of these activities, observing, “We want to capture new athletes for our training, and, through our professional team, pass on the message that it is possible, one day, for the younger ones to be able to also represent the club at the highest level.” According to the CAB coach, "The knowledge and proximity that the team achieves around the community will certainly function as motivation and pride so that this convergence can produce good sports and social results."
