Men's Team among the elite who will play the trophy

This year's edition of the Hugo dos Santos Cup, for the second consecutive year, will take place in the city of Oliveira do Hospital, in the next days 1 and 2 February. The Hugo dos Santos Cup, emerged as a tribute to the former president of the FPB and has the particularity of being disputed in the “land” that saw the birth of General Hugo dos Santos. Created in 2009/2010 to replace the League Cup, the competition is already in its 5th edition and counts on the top four of the first round of the regular phase of the Portuguese Basketball League. SL Benfica, current trophy holder, CAB, Vitória Sport Club and Basketball Barcelos will fight next weekend for the conquest of this cup. In the semi-finals the incarnates will face, on Saturday at 3 pm, the Barcelos team, and two hours later, at 5 pm, it will be the Madeirans' turn to measure forces with the team of Guimarães. The grand final is scheduled for Sunday at 2:15 p.m., with television broadcast on Sport TV, at a meeting that will certainly be another excellent advertisement for this magnificent sport.
