The CAB received, in the CAB Pavilion, the GDESSA team. The clash put forward two formations determined to rise in the classification table and urgently need points for this purpose. With the evolution of the second round of the championship, neither the Madeirans nor the continentals wanted to lose points, so they approached the match determined to leave it victorious. But while the GDESSA was at its peak, the Friends saw one of their reference players, the Schera Sampson extreme-post, limited by flu. This was a contradiction for the home team, who would have to be able to turn these circumstances around to achieve their goal of winning the game. Friends got very badly into the game, with CAB athletes demonstrating great apararia, mismatch in defensive markings and a pober selection of releases. In the real GDESSA dominated the first period, which won by 11-15. In the second period, the CAB was much better, especially in the defense chapter. With the defense functioning, the whole game of the house flowed more easily and attacks began also to produce od desired points. No surprise, the friends moved forward and reached the break to win by 41-27. The third period was once again high for the CAB. The friends showed good ability to play as a team and forced successive mistakes on the opponent. In the attack, a special record for Carla Freitas, who did very well in the chapter of the outer launch and also in the assists. In the fourth period, the CAB was in bad shape again. Although the victory of the house was never in danger, the Madeirans were overly permissive in the defense chapter and relaxed too much, and too soon, in all the game dynamics. Still, the CAB managed to finish the match ahead, confirming the 78-71 victory. The young Amigas slipped, in a significant way, against the Academic of Porto. Without their main weapons, which stayed in Funchal to help the Women's Senior Team defeat GDESSA, the CAB/CSM lost by the result of 85-35. The figures clearly indicate the difference in experience and competitiveness between the two groups. Tomorrow, Satellite Team will play again, but this time, against Coymbers. We wish our athletes and their coach, Ricardo Montes, good luck in the second game of the double journey they are fighting in the north of the country.
