The women's CAB team began the discussion of the Women's League semi-final at Barreiro, against the formation of GDESSA. Friends knew that they would be faced with a very dynamic and young team, as well as being very well organized and trained. Therefore, GDESSA would be a very hard test for Madeirans and only the best CAB would be able to win the first game and take an important, though not decisive, step towards the final. However, the game did not begin as a feature for the Madeirans, who lost their first period by 22-19. It would be said that 'our girls' showed nervisism and pressure, which allowed GDESSA to take, with merit, in this first phase, the course of events with its dynamism and great energy. However, in the second period, those commanded by João Pedro and Ricardo Montes reacted, not only gaining the period (13-18), but also reaching the interval in front of the marker, which marked 35-37, in favor of the CAB. The return of the locker rooms was less successful for the CAB. Demonstrating some apathy in the attack and lack of consistency in the defense, the Amigas failed to follow the offensive and defensive merit of the athletes of the house, who reached the end of the third time to win by 61-52. The 26-15 partial in the third half gave the house players a comfortable advantage and placed the CAB in a very difficult position to win the game. In the last period, the CAB was very bad again, letting the house team dominate the meeting. The demerit of the CAB, especially in the defense chapter, contrasted greatly with the commitment, joy and motivation of the GDESSA, which was frankly better and deserved to win the match, something that was verified by the expressive result of 76-63. After the first game, the mid-final competition comes to Funchal, where the Friends will play, on Saturday, April 26th, at 5pm, the second game. In case they win, the Friends will play "black" again with GDESSA the next day, Sunday, April 27, at the same time. The CAB/HF team, CAB's male satellite team, also threw out doors. In the first game of a double journey that only ends tomorrow, the young Friends faced the Póvoa team, curiously a formation that is nothing foreign to the CAB technician, Pedro Dias, because for some years it was he who commanded the fates of Póvoa himself. On this return to a house that you know, Pedro Dias' team was in bad shape and missed the first period by 30-20, expressive numbers that illustrate well the offensive 'caudal' of both formations. In the second period, the CAB/HF reacted and won the second half by the 8-16 result. However, these numbers were not enough for the Madeirans to move forward in the result, as they reached the interval still to lose by 38-36, a result that left everything open for the second half. In the third half, the formation of the house returned 'to set foot on the accelerator', leaving the CAB/HF at a distance of 17 points. Unfortunately for the Medeirians, the result at the end of the third period was 63-46, in favor of Póvoa. Last time, the whole game hasn't changed, with the men in the house sending more on the date. The Madeirans still gave the 'all for everything' to reverse the course of events, showing great race and ambition. But in the end, the scorer scored 80-57 in favor of Póvoa.
